Chocolate Coconut Granola
One of my favorite snacks
One of my favorite snacks is homemade granola. I usually will experiment with adding different ingredients and I thought how much fun it would be to share this one with you.
INGREDIENTS:
240g *8 1/2 oz) rolled oats
175g (6 oz) flaked almonds
70g (2 1/2oz) unsweetened coconut
70g (2 1/2 oz) dark brown sugar
40g (1 1/2oz) unsweetened cocoa powder
90 ml (3fl oz) honey
50ml (2fl oz) vegetable oil
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 tsp salt
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 120 degrees C
In a large bowl mix together the oats, almonds, coconut and brown sugar. In a separate bowl mix together the cocoa powder, honey, oil, cinnamon and salt.
Combine the 2 bowls and pour onto 2 baking sheets. Bake the granola for 1 1/4 hours, stirring every 15 minutes to achieve an even color.
Transfer to a large bowl to serve.
