My Review:
This book The Greenway was first published in 1995 and is part of a three part series. This new revised version is as good as the first version.
A psychological thriller full of suspense, mystery and superstition.
Twenty years ago two cousins take a shortcut home between the fields - a place the locals believe is a portal to the spirit world. Along the way, Suzie disappears and Cassie does not. Now after all that time Cassie is married, still has nightmares and there are parts of that day she cannot remember.
So, Cassie’s husband Fergus thinks taking Cassie back to where it all started will help her therapeutically. The problem is another girl goes missing along the Greenway and Cassie is implicated. She has no alibi, she was present during the disappearance, and the victim has a strong resemblance to Suzie.
The two policeman tasked with finding Sara bring in retired D.I. Tyranny who worked on the original case in hopes this will help them find out what really happened twenty year ago and what happened to Sara now.
This is definitely a page turner with well written and unique characters. Once you pick up this book you cannot put it down until the end - which comes with an unexpected twist.
